- Course Title Masterpieces of Hispanic Literature
- Course description: Reading and discussion of selected masterworks of literature as they reflect the historical, political, and social context of the Peninsular Spanish experience. Students will be introduced to reading and writing critically, and discussing both form and content within these works. All discussions will be carried out in Spanish.

- Course Title: La Literatura Mexicana
- Course description: Exposes students to Mexican literature from its indigenous and Hispanic origins to its more contemporary expressions. Examines and discusses representative authors from all literary periods, including such literary icons as Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, Manuel Gutierrez Najera, Mariano Azuela, Ignacio Altamirano, Rosario Castellanos, Juan Rulfo, Octavio Paz, Carlos Fuentes, Jose Agustin, and Laura Esquivel.

- Course reflective narrative:Through these course, I was able to expand my cultural and literary knowledge regarding various pieces of literature that build upon the cultural aspects of Mexican literature in their respective regions and times in which they were written.

- Course Title: Major Capstone
- Course description: Students work with the instructor and WLC faculty advisors to research, synthesize, write and present their Capstone projects. Students will also complete a Graduation ePortfolio reflecting how each MLO was met. This course is required for all Japanese Language and Culture, and Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures majors.

- Course reflective narrative: In this course we worked in partners or gourds in order to complete our final research paper. Going through this course noting the different perspectives of authors and analyzing the multiple perspectives of all people in this class. Going through and answering feedback and other information that was useful towards the completion of capstone.
